This is just a quick blog post to let you all know that tomorrow we will be heading off to the US for three weeks so if you don’t hear from us you’ll know why. We’ll be in Las Vegas during that time just seeing some shows and basically just relaxing. Neither of us are big gamblers or drinkers but we always find plenty to do in Vegas…we just love the place.
We are also looking forward to some cooler weather. It’s summer here and the temperatures are in the high 30’s. Today we are sweltering – it’s 37 C (that’s 98 F) so we are really looking forward to the milder temperatures. Although I hear that there is going to be some particularly cold weather in the US over the next few days so hopefully we won’t experience too much of that in Vegas.
We will still update this blog while we are away, but don’t worry, we won’t be plastering it with what we are doing during the trip…we’ll leave that to Wanda’s travel blog. So you’ll still get our regular posts andwe also have a treat in store for you, a guest post by Chris the Traffic Blogger, so stay tuned for that.
Anyway, I had better get back to my packing….talk to you all soon.

Oh, my! Depending on your flights, you may be in for some airport delays. There is a MAJOR winter weather event coming across the U.S., particularly in the Midwest. Will pray for your safe arrival and a great time to be had by you guys!
I am hoping that since we are staying west we might be able to avoid it. We’ll soon see.

We actually havent left yet. We leave today, so we experienced those really hot days although here it didn’t get to 40.The highest it got to was 38. Too hot to do anything really.
I know you both love to travel and I’m sure this will be a well deserved break. Have a wonderful time in Vegas!
We’re having a great time so far. Saw Cher last week which was great and Human Nature a couple of days ago who were brilliant. Will be seeing Rita Rudner tonight so looking forward to that.

It’s just a comment to ask if you are already using the ‘broken link checker’ through wordpress?
I have just merged a couple of blogs and used it to sort out any stray links, but it’s BRILLIANT! It found all manner of dead and outdated links and so on.
I am going to keep it going all the time now and it is reasuring that all those carefully crafted AF links will always be live or it will let you know, marvelous.

Yes Paula, it’s a free plugin and a great one too! You can set how often it checks all the links on your site etc.

I got a bit of a shock when it started finding out of date links in some old posts and comments etc.
